Military Child Education

Wayne County Public Schools is happy to have your family in our school system. We take pride in serving our military families and have a system-wide plan in place to address the needs and issues specific to military families. To ensure that WCPS remains the most military-friendly, we have a staff member dedicated to our military community. In this role, the military liaison counselor serves as a consultant, coordinator, and liaison to all schools in the system.

The Military Child Education website is an outreach initiative intended to serve as a communication tool for military families seeking resources: information about education for military students, PCS, deployment, special needs, and the like.

"Our military children are awesome...but they have extra hurdles to clear, burdens to bear. We have a sacred responsibility to take care of them." ~Former US Secretary of Defense, Robert Gates

WCPS Military Connection
